Family Based Mental Health Clinician
About The Position
Every Child, Inc. (ECI) is seeking Family Based Mental Health Clinicians to join our compassionate, community-focused behavioral health team. We’re a growing, innovative nonprofit that provides manageable caseloads so you can deliver meaningful counseling and support to children, youth, and families in need. This position is eligible for the Behavioral Health Fellows Program in Allegheny County. Launch your behavioral health career with hands-on experience, professional development, and a supported pathway to a long-term career at Every Child, Inc. Fellows transition into a permanent, full-time role upon completion of the program.
Requirements
- Passion for community mental health, child counseling, and behavioral health services
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Counseling, or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year direct counseling experience in a child-serving system or agency (internships do not count toward this requirement)
- Experience with trauma-informed care and crisis intervention
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- Sense of humor and positive attitude
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Responsibilities
- Develop treatment plans
- Deliver in-home counseling
- Conduct clinical assessments
- Provide crisis intervention
- Offer psychoeducation
- Support children and parents in strengthening relationships, building resilience, and creating lasting change—all through a systems-based, family-focused approach.
