About The Position

A family in Los Angeles is seeking a sophisticated family assistant/house manager to oversee all domestic operations of their family home, family logistics, and generally ensure the household runs with corporate precision to support the high-demand professional lives of the parents (who both have demanding careers) and the developmental needs of two children, aged 9 and 12 (who have a dedicated nanny from 2 pm-8 pm daily). The schedule will generally be 9 am-5 pm Monday through Friday, with flexibility to start earlier or stay later on occasion, if it’s ever required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a high-level domestic role for HNW families or high-profile executives.
  • Deep knowledge of Los Angeles-based vendors is a huge plus.
  • US passport, Green Card, or EAC
  • Able to commute to Santa Monica, LA
  • Trustline registered (or willing to register ASAP)
  • Available to start ASAP
  • High EQ with the ability to build trust and rapport with children (ages 9 and 12) while maintaining professional boundaries.

  • Exceptional organization, tech-savviness, and a 'no task too small' mindset.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean record and ability to pass extensive background/security vetting.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all household staff, including a housekeeper, nanny, and chef
  • Source, vet, and manage all external vendors (landscapers, pool technicians, HVAC specialists)
  • Maintain a detailed Household Manual and preventative maintenance schedule for all home systems.
  • Maintain organizational systems for the house, ensuring a “never-out” inventory of essentials.
  • Implement sustainable organization protocols for closets, children’s bedrooms, and play areas, balancing accessibility with aesthetic standards.
  • Oversee household budgeting, expense reporting, and bill payment with absolute transparency.
  • Manage the family’s vehicle fleet, ensuring all cars are maintained, detailed, and fueled.
  • Synchronize the 'Master Family Calendar,' aligning executive travel with school and extracurricular commitments.
  • Manage all logistics for children (ages 9 and 12), including school liaison, activities coordination, and health appointments.
  • Coordinate safe, reliable transportation for the children to activities (in collaboration with the nanny)
  • Execute complex travel itineraries for family vacations, including seasonal packing.
  • Oversee dry cleaning/wardrobe management, personal shopping, and ad hoc errands.
  • Lead the end-to-end production of occasional social (2-3x a year), typically mid-scale gatherings hosted at the family home.
  • Provide assistance to the Owner's Representative regarding property renovations and capital improvements.
  • Liaise/ coordinate with architects, designers, and general contractors
  • Assist with monitoring construction timelines and budgets, ensuring minimal disruption to the family’s daily life
  • Assist with the process of overseeing site inspections and quality control for all residential projects.
