About The Position

The Goodwin Living Fall and Spring Internship program offers students enrolled at Arlington Public Schools the opportunity to explore the field of senior living and engage in many of the departments that are essential to our organization. Interns can choose between two departments: Life Enrichment and Brain Health (Thrive Day Program). This program is 10 hours a week with flexibility based on the intern's school schedule. Interns will be required to submit all necessary onboarding documents and attend an orientation prior to their start date. This is an unpaid internship.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be enrolled at Arlington Public Schools (Must be 16+)
  • Must have built in flex period
  • Ability to relate to and work with team members and their department
  • Creates a welcoming, friendly and adaptable environment for those they serve and work with
  • Be interested to work with a diverse population of older adults
  • Have a can-do mindset and be excited to learn about all we have to offer
  • Proficient with email communications

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Follow all procedures of the host department
  • Engage in projects as defined by the host department
  • Assist in day to day task of the host department
  • Activities Coordination, Event Planning, Resident Engagement (Life Enrichment)
  • Guest Experience/Hospitality, Communication, Support Daily Reception Tasks (Thrive Day Program)
