About The Position

Skyhawks Sports | Treasure Valley is seeking passionate individuals to join their team as Youth Sports Coaches and Directors for their Fall programs. This organization has been serving children aged 2 to 13 for nearly five years, offering year-round classes, after-school programs, and camps across more than 10 sports. They are looking for coaches and directors who are dedicated to making a positive impact on children and the community. Skyhawks believes in investing in their coaches, providing them with the same support they are expected to give to the children. The role emphasizes patience, playfulness, and a genuine presence with children, whether they are toddlers or older kids. Coaches are the face of the organization and are expected to represent Skyhawks with love for kids, coaches, and community. There are two main coaching tracks: Tots Coach for ages 2-5 and General Coach for ages 6-13. For those with leadership potential, there is also a Director Track for individuals interested in taking on more responsibility and ownership of programs or locations. The company is growing and looking for leaders to help build their presence across the Treasure Valley.

Requirements

  • Someone who is genuinely good with kids and shows it without being told to.
  • Reliability matters more than a resume. Show up, follow through, and grow.
  • A coaching heart is required.
  • Availability for at least one consistent day per week, with flexibility to grow into more as you settle in.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation across the Treasure Valley.
  • Ability to travel to cities including Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Star, Avimor, Nampa, Caldwell, Emmett.

Nice To Haves

  • A sport background is valued.
  • Experience in parenting, childcare, early childhood education, or preschool counts fully for Tots Coach.
  • Organizational instincts, communication skills, and drive to take real ownership of a program or location (for Director Track).

Responsibilities

  • Lead small groups of children through age-appropriate, skill-based sessions using Skyhawks' proven curriculum.
  • Build genuine relationships with the kids in your program and the parents who trust you with them.
  • Create a culture in every session where each child, regardless of skill level, feels like they belong.
  • Show up prepared, communicate clearly, and represent Skyhawks with love for kids, coaches, and community.
  • Help set up and manage equipment in a safe, organized environment.
