About The Position
Our fall internship program gives students real exposure to the commodities trading industry. Interns work across multiple departments, gaining a broad understanding of the lumber business and what it takes to succeed as a trader at TIFP. The most successful interns are curious, motivated, and eager to learn by doing. This is an in-office internship (not remote).
Requirements
- High-energy with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Ambitious, competitive, and sales-oriented
- Comfortable talking to people and building relationships
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Organized and able to manage multiple tasks
- Comfortable with Excel, Word, and Google Docs
Responsibilities
- Learn the fundamentals of commodity trading and forest products
- Gain exposure to logistics, sales, and market dynamics
- Build relationships and shadow experienced traders
- Develop industry knowledge through hands-on experience
