About The Position

This internship offers an opportunity to make a significant impact within a dynamic and creative small business environment. The company is owned by approximately 30 of York’s leading citizens and promotes the motto “The Most Welcoming Place in York.” As one of Central Pennsylvania's most recognized professional sports teams, the organization hosts not only sporting events but also celebrations, festivals, and other events in a facility considered a gem in the industry. The team is dedicated to creating "best day evers" for fans, with employees demonstrating unusual longevity in the business. The Fall Intern position is available from mid-August through the end of 2026. Interns will play a key role in executing events beyond baseball, including the York Halloween Parade and the Bright Nights holiday light experience. As part of the front office staff, interns will collaborate with full-time team members and take on responsibilities across various departments such as marketing, operations, ticketing, and sales. In addition to office-based projects, interns will gain hands-on experience by working home games and other events at WellSpan Park, applying their learning in real game-day situations. This includes fan engagement, assisting with promotions, and contributing to a safe, fun, and memorable experience for all attendees. This position requires regular manual labor as part of the responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in Game Day operations for the remainder of the 2026 Revolution season
  • Supporting marketing and communications efforts for Bright Nights, including social media and website updates
  • Assisting with event planning and execution, including logistics, subcontractor coordination, and promotional schedules
  • Helping coordinate staffing and scheduling for events
  • Aiding in ticket sales planning and execution, including customer service and data entry
  • Supporting advertising and promotion efforts in collaboration with full-time staff
  • Helping with general ballpark and event operations as needed
  • Conducting some physical tasks involved in event management to the best of their abilities.
