About The Position

Assists in the collection, compilation, and analysis of water well data to assess potential risks to water quality and support aquifer-related groundwater protection projects and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled as a student in a college or university with a minimum of 60 hours of college coursework and a minimum 2.5 GPA.
  • Relevant college coursework in geology, hydrology, environmental science, engineering, or similar coursework.
  • Able to quickly grasp new concepts and work effectively with cross-departmental staff.
  • Possess strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, exercise initiative, and adaptively handle new tasks and responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred familiarity with Microsoft products, databases, and GIS applications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with researching water well information and performing inspections to collect well information.
  • Assist with compiling and analyzing well data for groundwater source determinations and identifying potential risks to water quality.
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining records in EAA databases.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
