About The Position
The Asian securities intern at the American Enterprise Institute will conduct research in support of Senior Fellow Dan Blumenthal. The Asian securities portfolio focuses on US defense policy and security issues in the Indo-Pacific, including China’s military modernization, Chinese coercion and influence in Asia, and cross-Strait relations.
Requirements
- Demonstrated interest in Asian security
- Research experience in defense and military studies or related internship experience
- Close attention to detail
- The ability to work independently
- A positive attitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Nice To Haves
- GPA of 3.5 or higher from a top-ranking college or university
Responsibilities
- Monitoring military developments in the region
- Researching historical and contemporary events
- Compiling sources in English and Chinese
- Collecting and organizing data
