About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join Schoolcraft Community Schools as a Fall Athletic Event Coordinator for the upcoming sports season. This seasonal position will involve planning, coordinating, and executing various athletic events and competitions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with students, coaches, and community members to create a positive and engaging atmosphere for all participants.

Requirements

• Previous experience in event coordination, sports management, or a similar role is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
• Knowledge of athletic programs and an understanding of the needs of student-athletes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate all fall athletic events, including setting up/hosting/managing games, practices, and tournaments.
• Collaborate with coaches, athletic staff, and school administration to ensure all events run smoothly.
• Manage event logistics, including venue setup, equipment procurement, and transportation arrangements.
• Oversee event staff and volunteers, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and school policies during events.
• Monitor and manage event ticketing.
• Assist in setting up concessions at event locations.
• Attend athletic events to support staff and ensure a positive experience for athletes and spectators.
