About The Position

Vishay Thin Film is seeking applicants for a Failure Analyst within their Quality Department. Vishay manufactures a large portfolio of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components used in various markets including automotive, industrial, computing, consumer, telecommunications, military, aerospace, and medical. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in basic computer applications, including spreadsheets, word processing, and email
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with coworkers, customers, and suppliers
• Familiarity with root cause analysis and problem-solving tools such as 5 Whys and the 8D process
• Ability to perform inspections using basic measurement and test equipment (e.g., calipers, microscopes, electrical testing tools)
• Must qualify as a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in a technical or related field preferred
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Log and track customer complaints in the CAPA system
• Conduct failure analysis and prepare 8D corrective action reports
• Perform inspections and testing to support root cause investigations and corrective actions
• Maintain accurate records of customer complaints and related actions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and verify corrective actions
• Assist with or perform internal quality audits as assigned
