About The Position
Join our Quality Department as a Failure Analysis Technician, where you will be looking for opportunities to improve the product by performing failure mode analysis of transmissions to determine root cause failure for warranty issues. We are looking for individuals with experience and knowledge in both engine and transmission applications. This role is suitable for individuals who have recently completed training in an Automotive Program or mechanics looking to transition from the garage.
Requirements
- Experience and knowledge in both engine and transmission applications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions
- Organized and detail-oriented
- A highly collaborative mindset and an ability to work independently in a team environment
- Willingness to learn in a fast-paced rapidly changing atmosphere
- Knowledge and ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office Tools, including Excel preferred
Responsibilities
- Familiar with transmission applications
- Perform failure mode analysis of transmissions to determine root cause for warranty returns
- Look for opportunities to improve product
- Maintain records of inspection results
