About The Position

West Liberty University is seeking applications for a 9-month, full-time, tenured track, Social Work Faculty position in the College of Liberal and Creative Arts. This role includes release time for responsibilities as the Field Education Coordinator for the Social Work Program (BSW). The position reports to the Social Work Program Chair and is an on-site position. The successful candidate will participate in student recruitment, retention, and advisement, and teach courses within the BSW program. A commitment to excellent teaching, professional development, and service is expected. The Field Education Coordinator will manage the educational and administrative aspects of field education, ensuring compliance with CSWE accreditation standards, coordinating internships, cultivating new field sites, and developing field assessment practices. Experience in curriculum development and proficiency with online teaching platforms are also required.

Requirements

• A MSW from a CSWE accredited Social Work Program.
• A minimum of two years of post MSW practice.
• Excellent communication and teaching skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• A terminal degree in Social Work, or a closely related field.
• Prior teaching experience.
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum development.
• Proficiency with online teaching and learning platforms.

Responsibilities

• Participate in activities related to student recruitment and retention and student advisement.
