About The Position

Grand Canyon University, a leading private, nondenominational Christian University in Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking a Full-Time faculty member for its Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program. This role is an opportunity to shape future nurses and healthcare professionals by sharing knowledge and expertise. The position is based on the Phoenix, AZ campus.

Requirements

Master’s degree required (MSN).
2 years of direct patient care nursing/medical experience as a practicing nurse practitioner.
Unencumbered, active, current, and unrestricted RN Licensure in Arizona or a compact state.
Unencumbered, active, current, and unrestricted AZ APRN Licensure.
Board certified as a PMHNP.
Evidence of involvement in one’s professional area (e.g., membership in professional organizations, presentations, research, and/or publications).
Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Doctoral degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Student success coaching and remediation.
Teaching load will vary based on program needs.
Prepare engaging activities that stimulate classroom discussions and focus on content application.
Stay current with new trends and developments in the field of expertise.
Facilitate the PMHNP On-Campus clinical residency experiences.
