The Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering at Indiana University Bloomington is seeking to hire an open rank faculty member (assistant, associate, or full professor) to enhance its research leadership in Cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional researcher and educator contributing to the theory and practice of cybersecurity. While applications in all cybersecurity areas are welcome, the school has a particular interest in candidates whose research integrates technical cybersecurity (e.g., systems/network security, applied cryptography, security informatics) with human aspects (e.g., policy, governance, usable security, AI security, cyber risk management, international policy, law, privacy, accessible security). The successful applicant will join a vibrant, campus-wide cybersecurity community with opportunities for collaboration, joint appointments, and interdisciplinary advising across various schools and centers, including the O’Neill School of Public Policy, Hamilton-Lugar School of Global and International Studies, Maurer School of Law, Kelley School of Business, and the Center for Applied Cybersecurity Research (CACR). The Luddy School offers a supportive environment for research and teaching, with strong academic programs and opportunities to collaborate with IU Research and the Indiana University Applied Research Center (ARC) on national security challenges. These are 10-month faculty appointments with a preferred start date of August 1, 2027, though negotiable. Applications received by December 1, 2026, will receive full consideration, with applications accepted until the position is filled.
