Faculty position, Department of Oncology – Leukemia/Lymphoma Division
About The Position
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking a motivated, faculty-level candidate (clinician scientist or clinical track) at the Associate, Assistant, or Member level with training in hematology-oncology. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of academic potential and a strong interest in clinical/translational research and clinical care activities. Experience in mentorship, fellowship training, and incorporating quality improvement into clinical practice is preferred. The Department of Oncology, which includes divisions such as Leukemia-Lymphoma, Neuro-oncology, and Solid Tumor, is closely aligned with the St. Jude NCI-funded Comprehensive Cancer Center, offering opportunities for translational research. This role involves leading clinical research in specific sub-disease fields within Leukemia-Lymphoma and providing patient care services in collaboration with division leadership. The department fosters a collaborative environment for clinical, educational, and translational research. The faculty member will ensure alignment of individual goals with institutional strategies, pursue faculty development, and promote multidisciplinary care and research. Additionally, the position includes clinical education for fellows, residents, and medical students in the Leukemia-Lymphoma service.
Requirements
- MD, MD/PhD or DO degree.
- Board certified or Board-eligible in pediatric hematology-oncology.
- Expertise in the areas of hematology and oncology.
- Training in hematology-oncology.
- Proven track of excellence in academic potential.
- Strong interest in clinical/translational research and clinical care activities.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in mentorship and fellowship training within the academic setting.
- Experience in incorporating quality and/or process improvement into daily inpatient/outpatient clinical practice.
Responsibilities
- Lead clinical research in identified sub-disease fields within Leukemia-Lymphoma.
- Provide Leukemia-Lymphoma patient care services.
- Ensure alignment of individual goals with divisional, departmental, and institutional strategic goals and initiatives.
- Pursue faculty development.
- Promote outstanding multidisciplinary care delivery and research activities.
- Incorporate clinical education into daily practice for Hem-Onc fellows, residents, and medical school students in the Leukemia-Lymphoma service.
