About The Position

TeamHealth is seeking an academic-focused emergency medicine physician to serve as core faculty of the emergency medicine residency program at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. This is an exciting opportunity for you to teach and grow with a relatively new residency program that graduated its first class of residents in 2023. Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center is a level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, serving an 11-county catchment area with an annual ED volume of 56,000. The three-year emergency medicine residency program is comprised of eight faculty members and 18 accredited residency positions. The program maintains continued ACGME accreditation and provides comprehensive training in all aspects of emergency care, employing a physiological approach and an interdisciplinary team model in which residents play a pivotal role.

Requirements

• Board certification by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM)
• Active medical license and hospital privileges or eligibility in Ohio
• Strong interest in teaching and academics
