The Division of Hematology & Medical Oncology is seeking a Faculty Physician to support its mission to end cancer. This role involves patient care, education, and scholarly activity. Located in Portland, Oregon, OHSU offers a collaborative atmosphere within a comprehensive healthcare-focused university. The institute has recently received a significant gift to advance hematologic and cancer care.

Requirements

MD OR MD/PhD
Licensed to practice medicine in Oregon
Board certified in Internal Medicine
Board eligible/certified in Hematology and or/Medical Oncology

Proven success working with multi-disciplinary teams
Proven track record of leading research projects
History of specialized training and clinical experience focused on the care of patients with thoracic malignancies, including lung and head & neck cancers.

Responsibilities

Participate in the education of medical students and house staff.
Care of patients with lung cancer.
Establish and maintain a program of scholarly activity directed toward improved understanding of the causes, detection and treatment of lung cancer.
Participate in administrative committees and councils of the OHSU.
Engage in public service through consultative activities with non-university groups.
