About The Position

The Department of English at Western Kentucky University (WKU) is accepting applications to create a pool of qualified faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate courses within the TESOL program. This is a part-time faculty position for day and evening classes at the main campus location. The Department of English is part of the Potter College of Arts and Letters and offers undergraduate and graduate courses, including a minor and both an undergraduate and graduate certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.

Requirements

• Master's degree (any degree type) in TESOL/TESL, SLA, Linguistic OR a Master's degree in a related area with 18 hours of graduate credit in the academic disciplines listed above.
• A master's degree in the discipline is required for teaching undergraduate-level courses.
• A terminal degree is required for teaching graduate-level courses.
• Ability to engage in alternative modes of instructional delivery, which may include online (distance learning) courses.
