About The Position

The UNM Occupational Therapy Graduate Program at the University of New Mexico anticipates hiring temporary part time adjunct faculty to teach courses or problem based learning in the Summer 2026, Fall 2026, Spring 2027. Anticipated openings potentially include the following subject areas among others: Problem based learning in orthopedic, neurological or pediatric occupational therapy, Leadership and advocacy in occupational therapy, Community occupational therapy, Neurological and orthopedics occupational therapy, Evidence based practice, Psychosocial occupational therapy, Research in occupational therapy. Positions are contingent upon each semester as determined by current course offerings.

Requirements

Entry Level Degree in Occupational Therapy
Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in New Mexico by start date
Cover letter indicating clinical areas of expertise, teaching experiences, problem based learning experiences
Curriculum vitae that supports the cover letter
Names and contact information for 3 professional references
Subject to criminal records screening in accordance with New Mexico law
Clearance by the New Mexico Department of Health is required as a condition of employment

Nice To Haves

Experience with university level teaching
Master’s degree in occupational therapy or a related field
Teaching or clinical experience in needed content areas
Experience with problem based learning

Responsibilities
