About The Position

NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) is seeking a full-time Faculty member for its Nursing program. NWACC is dedicated to providing quality and affordable higher education, empowering lives, and strengthening communities. As the largest community college in Arkansas, NWACC is a recognized leader in education, offering a wide range of degrees, certificates, and workforce training. NWACC employees are committed to fostering a diverse educational community and a culturally rich learning environment that supports student success. As a faculty member at NWACC, you will be a professional educator with the primary duty of instructing assigned classes, which takes precedence over all other responsibilities. In addition to teaching, faculty are expected to engage in professional development, contribute to the college through service, and perform other duties as assigned by supervisors. Adherence to college policies is mandatory. Faculty must embrace the learning college philosophy and align with NWACC's goals and objectives. This role requires an average of at least 40 hours per week, including on and off-campus work. While scheduled responsibilities like classes and meetings are fixed, the completion of non-scheduled duties relies on individual judgment. Given NWACC's 24/7 learning opportunities and the nature of faculty work, a strict 8-to-5, Monday-through-Friday schedule is impractical. Faculty work schedules are flexible and vary by semester and week to best support student learning, professional development, and college service.
