About The Position

The Nursing Department of Saint Joseph’s College of Maine is seeking full time Nursing Faculty. The successful candidate will teach in the traditional on campus program and the hybrid ABSN nursing program. Responsibilities can include in person didactic or clinical teaching, oversight of adjunct clinical faculty, participation in the on campus immersions/ simulations, remediation of students in the didactic or clinical setting and working with the On Campus Undergraduate Program Director or the ABSN Program Director on student concerns. Faculty may teach across programs to fulfill student needs.

Requirements

• MSN
• Minimum 5 years clinical experience in nursing
• Unencumbered RN license in Maine or a Compact License
• Demonstrates an appreciation for the needs of the novice student nurse
• Excellent communication skills
• Positive attitude
• Flexibility
• Experience precepting or orienting staff nurses OR Experience supervising nursing students in the clinical setting
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Engage in student centered learning practices
• Able to work with teams and creatively problem solve
• Willing to support the mission and core values of Saint Joseph’s College

Nice To Haves

• Teaching experience in undergraduate BSN programs
