The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB) is a comprehensive community college committed to providing learning experiences that improve the lives of those we serve. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in the identified teaching area.
  • Applicable Licenses, Certifications, and/or Credentials may also be considered when relevant.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and utilize technology in teaching.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate Degree from an accredited college or university in the identified teaching area.
  • Teaching experience in higher education, specifically in a community college setting or corporate training experience.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality instruction in the assigned General Education teaching area across on-ground, hybrid, and online formats.
  • Curriculum development.
  • Student learning assessment.
  • Engagement with industry and/or academic partners to align educational programs with current academic, transfer, and workforce trends.
  • Delivering high-quality instruction and conducting assessments of student learning outcomes.
  • Utilizing the college’s student and learning management systems as well as other college identified instructional technology to deliver content effectively across multiple platforms while maintaining a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Directing efforts toward student success by implementing retention and completion strategies designed to identify and support students.
  • Engaging with students regularly in both curricular and co-curricular settings.
  • Maintaining regular office hours to provide a consistent point of contact for academic support and intervention.
  • Actively leading and participating in recruitment activities to promote the General Education degree programs within the community and local high schools, ensuring a steady pipeline of qualified applicants.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with industry and/or academic partners to ensure that degree program and course curriculum remain aligned with current academic/transfer requirements and workforce needs.
  • Maintaining professional expertise by staying current with regulatory, policy, or academic requirements, best practices, and teaching methodologies through ongoing professional development and faculty workshops.
  • Participating in shared institutional governance through campus, division/department, and faculty senate meetings.
  • Serving on committees and engaging in service activities that support the institution and the local community.
