Seeking a certified or licensed School Psychologist to serve as Faculty to contribute to the teaching, scholarship, and service expectations of the College. The Faculty role will develop and provide instruction that incorporates current teaching methodologies, technologies, and other trends that reflect advances in specific areas of the discipline associated with the individual’s teaching assignment.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree.
  • Active certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Three to five years of experience serving as a School Psychologist.
  • Specialized knowledge of the School Psychology discipline.
  • Evidence of involvement in one’s professional area (e.g., membership in professional organizations, presentations, research, and/or publications).
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Nice To Haves

  • Teaching experience at a college level preferred.
  • Previous supervisory/management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teach in School Psychology, Psychology, or Behavioral Health Science within the prescribed curriculum online and on-ground.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses within School Psychology, Psychology, or Behavioral Health Science, meeting the required course load requirements.
  • Utilize best practices pedagogy during instruction.
  • Assess learners through formative and summative practices.
  • Support the School Psychology Program through course development, course revisions, development and revision of program student handbook, and practicum and internship student experience.
  • Support the accreditation process for the School Psychology Program from Candidacy status to full accreditation.
  • Support administrative aspects related to maintaining School Psychology accreditation.
  • Remain current with new trends and developments in School Psychology and the behavioral health fields.
  • Other duties as assigned.
