About The Position

The University of Colorado’s Advanced Practice Fellowship (APF) Programs are 12-month post-graduate fellowship programs dedicated to enhancing the development of early-career Acute Care Nurse Practitioners (ACNPs) and Physician Associates (PAs) or for more experienced clinicians transitioning from a different specialty. Recognizing that ACNPs and PAs are increasingly utilized in all phases of healthcare, our program’s mission is to provide the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for a provider to succeed in the challenging world of surgery and medicine. Since these are rigorous and lengthy fellowship programs, the best candidates are those who truly want to spend an additional 12 months in training. Due to overlapping interest for some candidates, our application is a shared application with the following fellowship tracks: Surgery, Surgical Critical Care, Medical Critical Care, and Hospital Medicine. The application will ask you to indicate and rank areas of interest, and it is possible you will be invited to interview with multiple fellowship tracks based on your selections.
