About The Position

This position provides faculty development, instructional design, and curriculum support services for Officer and Enlisted Professional Military Education (PME) programs. The successful candidate will develop, maintain, and deliver faculty training programs, support curriculum improvements, and ensure faculty are prepared to effectively teach in resident and online learning environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • Experience in faculty development, instructional design, curriculum development, or adult education.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory, educational assessment, and instructional methodologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Active Secret clearance (Tier 3 Investigation).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting military education, Professional Military Education (PME), or higher education programs.
  • Experience developing online learning content and managing Learning Management Systems (LMS/LSS).
  • Experience with curriculum mapping, assessment development, and educational analytics.
  • Familiarity with Bloom's Revised Taxonomy and andragogy principles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Faculty Development (FD) subject matter expertise across Officer Professional Military Education (CSCDEP and EWSDEP) and Enlisted Professional Military Education (ECDEP) programs.
  • Maintain subject matter expertise in developing faculty for onsite and online nonresident instruction.
  • Apply current educational theory, adult learning principles (andragogy), and instructional best practices in faculty development programs.
  • Revise, update, and maintain Faculty Orientation (FacO) 101 and FacO 201 courses.
  • Maintain FacO 101 and 201 student and faculty course sites.
  • Develop FacO 101 and 201 course schedules based on Government requirements.
  • Develop learning outcomes and lesson objectives using Bloom's Revised Taxonomy and adult learning principles.
  • Maintain electronic version control for faculty development courseware, curriculum, and assessments.
  • Develop, secure, and maintain electronic course assessments, answer keys, and reference materials.
  • Maintain curriculum mapping documents linking lesson objectives, assessments, and learning outcomes.
  • Maintain electronic files for course materials, graphics, readings, assessments, and supporting resources.
  • Manage and maintain master Learning Support System (LSS) course sites.
  • Respond to faculty inquiries regarding Faculty Development courses.
  • Teach all scheduled FacO 101 and FacO 201 online seminars.
  • Participate in Course Content Review Boards (CCRBs) and prepare reports and briefings on Institutional Research findings related to faculty development.
  • Participate in mid-year reviews at designated regional offices and the annual CDET Faculty Development Workshop in Quantico.
