About The Position

The Faculty Credentials Specialist is responsible for performing professional and technical duties associated with the maintenance of faculty credential files. This position works with the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Academic Deans to develop an understanding of credential requirements for faculty members as established by individual departments. They will be expected to maintain credential documentation for all full-time and part-time/adjunct faculty members, assist Academic Deans and Division Chairs with hiring decisions by performing preliminary evaluations of credentials prior to offers of employment and with collecting justification documentation for faculty members who meet credential requirements in a non-standard way, and entering faculty information into the computerized database. The Faculty Credentials Specialist will also work to ensure changes to program offerings, program requirements, and courses are recorded accurately and in a timely manner, enter all changes to curricula to the database, and ensure the Curriculum, Advising, and Program Planning module is fully functional to allow students, faculty, and staff to register and to perform accurate graduation audits. They are also responsible for printing and distributing reports that are required by the college, TCSG, accreditation agencies, etc. Other duties may be assigned by the VPAA.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree
  • One (1) year of data entry experience
  • Three (3) years of related work experience
  • Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis

Responsibilities
