The opportunity As a Faculty Coordinator, you will report to the Manager of Faculty Scheduling and help keep our online academic programs running. You will schedule faculty to teach online undergraduate and graduate courses across multiple term cycles, ensuring you align the right instructors to the right courses at the right time. When last minute gaps arise and regular replacements are needed, you will step in quickly to assign coverage and activate course sections within tight turnaround windows. You will also respond to instructor emails daily, serving as a reliable contact that our faculty can depend on. We use enrollment data, analytics, and resource management to guide our scheduling decisions, and you will bring that same data-informed mindset to balance competing needs across our academic partners. This role is remote friendly. #LI-Remote

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 1+ years of experience working in a professional setting

Responsibilities

  • Use data analytics to maintain a healthy pool of faculty
  • Communicate with faculty through use of email, Microsoft Teams and RingCentral to schedule based on preferences, approvals, and University needs.
  • Solve unexpected challenges such as course additions beyond or below forecasted schedule, faculty availability, and competing needs of different partners.
  • Participate in high-touch communication to support related partners. These partners include Faculty Recruitment and Hiring, Faculty Records, Scheduling Forecasting and Planning, Academic Deans, Adjunct Instructors, Academic Technology, Learning Resources, and the Center for Online Learning and Teaching (COLT).
  • Work with discipline-specific faculty; develop professional relationships while serving as their primary contact by supporting needs, being a resource for connecting faculty with appropriate contacts, and advocate for their needs.
  • Identify opportunities for new and improved processes to maximize efficiencies and experiences for partners.
