The Salmon P. Chase Center for Civics, Culture, and Society is seeking a Faculty Affairs Specialist to support the Center's administrative practices related to faculty affairs. This role will work closely with the Associate Director and Operations Manager to oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of faculty lifecycle processes, including recruitment, appointment, development, and employment matters. The Specialist will act as a liaison with university offices, interpret faculty rules and policies, and draft relevant documents. They will also facilitate faculty trainings, serve as a resource for faculty on review processes, and manage the onboarding of new faculty. Additionally, the role involves developing and maintaining data management practices for faculty activity and employment, maintaining academic personnel files, and collaborating on reporting for internal and external audiences.
