About The Position

The Factory Worker is responsible for controlling major operational costs to maximize profit, ensuring product quality, and maintaining on-time production performance. This role involves achieving key performance indicators, maintaining and updating operational systems, ensuring parts readiness, maintaining facility equipment and safety standards, and supporting customer relations and engineering efforts.

Requirements

Control major operational costs to maximize profit.
Insure the quality of the product and on time performance of the production.
Achieve Major Operational KPI’s.
Maintain and serve the system, and insure all operations entries are updated immediately for your work area.
Insure all parts are ready based on the work required reports.
Report any missing materials that will not allow the parts to be ready per the schedule.
Utilize the job cart ready forms.
Insure all job carts are well identified with client name/number prominently displayed for easy identification.
Insure all shop equipment is maintained according to manufacture's scheduled maintenance recommendations.
Keep your shop area clean and well organized.
Clean excess dust frequently throughout the day.
Know where the Maintain MSDS book, first aid, eye wash, eye protection, and other safety related items are located and how to use.
Keep a record of your training.
Become fork lift certified.
Be knowledgeable of software utilized to run major manufacturing equipment.
Be able to read designs/plans and identify exceptions.
Attend daily meetings and periodic safety committee meetings.
Insure all parts are high quality and chip free.
Report any poor quality items to management immediately.
Insure all parts are available so we can have an on-time installation.
Verify jobs are parts are made per plans.
Work with cut list/engineering to insure all CAD related software instructions are correct.
Review any unclear jobs with Cut List personnel.

Responsibilities

Achieve and maintain key performance targets for established productivity targets for their work station.
Seek opportunities for continuous improvement.
Reduce rework and ensure efficient product flow.
Notify supervisor of any abnormalities in the work process.
