NXE Factory Quality Engineer

ASML•Wilton, CT

About The Position

The JG7 Factory Quality Engineer is an independent contributor who owns module-level quality execution for an assigned module or work center. The role drives root-cause analysis, quality reporting, and structural improvements, and serves as the factory’s technical authority for quality process execution. It provides leadership in quality governance, including DRB/MRB reviews, SPC performance improvement, pFMEA maintenance, MSA/Gage R&R execution, QMM/6P assessments, Quality Gate deployment, 4-Eye reviews and Quality Circles, Workcenter Handshakes, and Inspection Criteria governance. The engineer also leads end-to-end F2F and customer MN investigations and reporting, ensuring systemic issues are escalated, resolved, and converted into preventive actions. The role works daily with Production Engineering (PE), First Line Support (FLS), Manufacturing, Supplier Quality (SQE), Central Quality, and other cross-sector partners. The engineer is the primary point of accountability for work-center quality performance, including SPC effectiveness, MN/DN closure, and process risk mitigation. The position works in a cleanroom and requires comfort wearing full PPE for periods throughout the day. There may also be exposure to strong magnetic fields, high voltage, and currents. Candidates must have a bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field such as mechanical, electrical, optical, chemical, or industrial engineering, mechatronics, physics, or a related field. A bachelor's degree requires at least two years of relevant experience in a technical environment such as quality or manufacturing engineering; the posting does not specify a minimum experience duration for master's degree holders. Hands-on manufacturing quality experience is preferred. The position requires legal authorization to access controlled technology before starting work.
