Factory Applications Engineer, New College Graduate, (Teradyne, San Jose, CA)
About The Position
As a New Graduate Factory Applications Engineer, you will begin your engineering career in a hands-on, customer-focused role supporting advanced semiconductor test solutions. Based in San Jose, you will work closely with customers, R&D, and global engineering teams to help develop, evaluate, and validate tester functionality while building strong foundations in test methodology, debugging, and technical communication. Collaborate with NAND memory test solution development engineering teams to evaluate and validate tester functionality and key features. Support NAND memory customers by assisting with test solution proposals, system bring-up and debugging activities. Assist in developing and delivering training for customers on test program development and effective usage. Build strong technical communication skills through teamwork and customer interactions. Grow toward increased technical ownership and responsibility through mentorship and hands-on learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher is required; an engineering major is strongly preferred.
- 0-2 years of applicable experience.
- New graduate or early-career engineer; internships, lab work, or academic projects are valued.
- Coursework or project experience in electronics, digital systems, or semiconductor fundamentals.
- Ability to learn complex systems and apply concepts in hands-on environments.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to continuously learn.
- Collaboration mindset and openness to feedback and mentorship.
- Interest in NAND memory, semiconductor testing, or manufacturing applications.
- Local to position location (San Jose, CA).
- Not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Nice To Haves
- Programming experience is preferred; C++ experience is a strong plus.
