About The Position

CompX National is hiring a Utilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves performing routine preventative maintenance on industrial machines, inspecting equipment for problems, making basic repairs, and general cleaning and painting throughout the facility. The technician will use hand and power tools for repairs, assist maintenance staff, and specifically repair and maintain clips and barrels for the Continuous and Barrel Lines. Adherence to all company safety rules and regulations is mandatory, and other tasks may be required as needed.

Requirements

Ability to follow detailed oral or written instructions.
Must be a self-starter, punctual and reliable, and a team player.
Experience and proficiency with utility / facility / machine maintenance and/or repair

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent.

Responsibilities

Perform routine preventative maintenance on industrial machines to keep them running properly.
Inspect equipment, find problems, and make basic repairs as needed.
Perform general cleaning, painting, and repairs throughout the facility.
Use hand tools and power tools for minor maintenance repairs.
Provide assistance to maintenance staff and other employees when necessary.
Repair and maintain clips for the Continuous Line.
Repair and maintain barrels for the Barrel Line.
Perform preventative maintenance on various types of machines.
Must follow all company safety rules and regulations.
Other tasks may be required as needed.
