About The Position

Facilitate, Communicate, and Coordinate with user groups according to SDA Facility Use Policy and guidelines. Provide invoicing and billing for all users groups per School District of Ashland facilities policies and fee schedules. Communicate proper building access including alarm systems and key card access to all user groups. Provide on-site supervision for group rentals and events, with flexibility to work some nights and weekends as scheduled. Facilitate community use (including walking during the school day and community open gym). Facilitate all non-co-curricular events in all user groups (including reservations and cancellations) Communicate the School District of Ashland facilities policy and fee schedule to all users. Communicate with district employees including Activities Director, Business Manager, Director of Buildings & Grounds, building principals and Administrative Assistants (set-up, event and tear down procedures) to ensure precise scheduling of all district facilities Coordinate and manage a yearly meeting with all main user groups for updated facility guidelines and fee schedule information Provide outreach for members of the community to utilize the School District of Ashland facilities. Facilitate the District Wellness Policy and tri-annual assessment. Plan, host and communicate staff well-being opportunities. Other duties as assigned by the Business Manager.

Requirements

  • Experience with google documents and sheets.
  • Ability to differentiate the workload of facilities versus athletics.
  • Ability to forge positive relationships with staff and community facilities users.
  • Committed to ongoing communication with staff and community facilities users.
  • Ability to work collegially with co-curricular, maintenance and custodial departments, administration, staff, and the community as needed.
  • Incorporation of standard communications with stakeholders
  • Experience in and/or willingness to participate in community planning with community partners.
  • Ability to facilitate user meetings as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in event coordination (preferred).
  • Experience and understanding of the Arbiter Activities and Facilities Calendars and applications (preferred).
