About The Position

Do you work in the environmental field and have an interest in pursuing a career at a permitted waste facility? As a Facility Technician, you will be able to work closely with the Facility Supervisor and be involved with nearly every aspect of facility waste management. This is a unique role that will give you exposure to RCRA and DOT compliance, technical services, transportation, solid disposal coordination, ten-day transfer of hazardous waste and universal waste management. It is our hope that with the right training, mentoring, and experience, you will be able to grow and manage your own Triumvirate Waste Facility. This role is onsite in our Orlando, FL facility.

Requirements

High School Degree
Basic knowledge of or desire to learn hazardous waste field through
Successful completion of OSHA/DOT physical examination
Become fit tested for a respirator and be comfortable wearing respirator for multiple hours a week
Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
Must have a reliable form of transportation
Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday)
Must be able to report to designated office within 1 hour during Emergency Response rotating shifts

Nice To Haves

Prior relevant industry experience
Active HAZWOPER 24 or 40 hour certification
Willingness to obtain Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

Responsibilities

Waste and document preparation; regulatory and safety review
Load & unload incoming & outgoing trucks
Waste inventory management through the use of Triumvirate designed software and computerized waste tracking system
Learn and retain a basic knowledge of daily work practices
Become familiar with packaging guidelines and disposal facility selection
Develop an understanding of OSHA regulations, Triumvirate’s Health and Safety Practices, Triumvirate’s Part B permit, and EPA regulations
Communicate effectively with end facilities as well as fellow employees to solve complex issues
Demonstrate supervisory leadership abilities through interaction with coworkers
Develop respect and working relationship with coworkers
Demonstrate the ability to be creative and solve unique problems

Become forklift trained and be able to safely operate machinery
