About The Position

The Facility Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the campus facilities. This role involves a variety of cleaning, maintenance, and repair tasks to ensure a safe and welcoming environment. The technician will follow established procedures for cleaning and equipment use, manage supplies, and report any necessary repairs. Adherence to Goodwill and departmental policies and procedures is expected, along with performing other duties as requested.

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Documentation to satisfy I-9, background check, physical assessment, and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Service, clean, or supply restrooms
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Gather and empty trash
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications
• Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
• Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, or equipment
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors
• Adhere to Goodwill and departmental policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as requested
