Facility Technician (Government)
About The Position
AT&T Global Public Sector is seeking a Facility Technician to support the Light House Program, providing 24x7x365 facility support. This role is part of a small team dedicated to ensuring the readiness, reliability, and survivability of facilities during emergencies such as natural disasters and national crises. The position requires a commitment to maintaining critical network operations support for facilities and equipment, performing routine and interim maintenance, providing escort services for contractors, ensuring environmental law compliance, and aiding site management with projects. Candidates must maintain required qualifications and special certifications as mandated by AT&T.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in building/facility mechanics and electrical systems.
- Experience in building infrastructure equipment to include, but not limited to generators, power distribution units (PDU), uninterruptible power systems (UPS), automatic transfer switches (ATS), HVAC, etc.
- Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Maintenance Connection, Building Management System, Access, Power Point, Word, and Excel.
Responsibilities
- Support the Light House Program in providing 24x7x365 facility technician services.
- Ensure readiness, reliability, and survivability of facilities during times of emergency or crisis.
- Maintain critical network operations support for facilities/equipment.
- Perform routine and interim maintenance on all facility equipment.
- Provide escort services during contractor visits.
- Ensure compliance of all federal, state, and local environmental laws.
- Aid site management for projects in the facility.
- Maintain required qualifications and special certifications as mandated by AT&T.
- Maintain certification and proficiency with HAZMAT type PPE equipment and operations.
- Support a 7X24X365 readiness posture, which could include extended periods of time in potentially hazardous environments.
