About The Position

Primm Valley Casino Resorts is seeking a dependable and skilled Facility Technician with a strong emphasis in plumbing to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of resort facilities, equipment, and property. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and appearance of the resort by maintaining plumbing systems, buildings, grounds, and operational equipment while supporting renovation and facility improvement projects. The ideal candidate has strong plumbing experience, is hands-on, safety-conscious, and committed to providing exceptional service to both guests and team members.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of commercial, hotel, resort, industrial, or residential plumbing experience.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing systems, fixtures, water distribution, drainage systems, pipe fitting, leak detection, and plumbing repair techniques.
  • Experience using hand and power tools, including drills, saws, pipe cutters, threaders, drain cleaning equipment, grinders, and wrenches.
  • Working knowledge of general building maintenance and repair techniques.
  • Ability to troubleshoot plumbing and maintenance issues and perform repairs independently.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced resort environment.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required to read and interpret documents, instructions, and manuals, as well as to communicate effectively.
  • The ability to apply logical thinking to execute instructions and resolve problems is crucial.
  • Applicants must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous maintenance experience in a hotel, casino, resort, commercial, or industrial environment.
  • Journeyman Plumber certification, plumbing apprenticeship completion, or equivalent trade experience is preferred.
  • Forklift and pallet jack certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Basic computer skills for work order management and maintenance reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on resort plumbing systems, facilities, equipment, and building systems.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain domestic water, sewer, drainage, restroom fixtures, faucets, valves, water heaters, pumps, and related plumbing systems.
  • Repair leaks, unclog drains, replace plumbing fixtures, install piping, and perform plumbing modifications in accordance with applicable codes and company standards.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance issues.
  • Replace or repair defective parts and components using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Assist with the installation, relocation, and setup of equipment, fixtures, furnishings, and facility improvement projects.
  • Perform general building maintenance, including painting, drywall repair, flooring, roofing, doors, windows, and other structural repairs.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and help prevent equipment failures.
  • Maintain accurate work orders, maintenance logs, and records of labor, materials, and completed repairs.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of plumbing supplies, maintenance materials, tools, and replacement parts.
  • Assist with property cleanliness by supporting waste disposal, recycling, and general facility upkeep.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, drain cleaning equipment, pipe threaders, and other maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency plumbing and facility repair situations.
  • Follow all company policies, OSHA safety standards, applicable plumbing codes, and federal, state, local, and gaming regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
