About The Position

Clean Harbors located in La Porte, TX is seeking a Facility Technician II to add to the team. The Facility Technician II for La Porte TX will be responsible for completing all assigned warehouse duties in a safe and responsible manner. This position will wear C level PPE and work with the pumping team to pump drums. Will work in QC for chemicals, operating forklifts, manual labor, and inventory. Shift: 6:30am-3:00pm. Monday-Friday. Overtime and Saturdays as needed Pay: $21 DOE

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience working in C Level PPE preferred
Experience working with chemical profiles preferred
Experience and familiarity with Excel, Word, etc
2+ plus years of related labor and computer experience
Ability to drive trucks within facility
Forklift skills preferred- or willing to learn

Responsibilities

Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
Load and unload route trucks
Wear level C PPE
Manual labor of drum washing
Pumping drums
Working with chemical profiles to identify matches to tankers
Uses forklifts routinely to sort pallets and unload
Uses camlock and hardlines to connect/disconnect tankers
Manage inventory order and receiving process
General housekeeping and keeping a clean work area
Ensure waste is stored in safe and proper manner
Resolve issues with materials in conjunction with office team staff
All other duties as assigned
