About The Position

This role involves analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic malfunctions on a wide variety of process, delivery, and facility equipment. The technician will be responsible for maximizing equipment uptime through expertise in electronic, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. This position requires performing preventive and predictive maintenance, coordinating work with contractors and other personnel, and maintaining clear communication with supervision and customer departments. Documentation of all activities within the Maintenance Management software is also a key part of the role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, equivalent certificate, or bronze level WorkKeys certification.
  • Formal technical training, including electrical/electronics, computerized/programmable controllers, or other manufacturing technology applications.
  • Functional understanding in the use of blueprints, electrical schematics, and ladder logic diagrams.
  • A minimum of 1-year documented experience in a maintenance skilled trade related to the intended assignment.
  • Plus 2 years’ maintenance experience, or apprenticeship, in a related additional applicable trade or skill set.
  • Demonstrated ability to use electrical/electronic diagnostic equipment such as multi-meters and infrared scanning equipment.

  • Specific documented experience of service work directly related to this field and demonstrated ability can be substituted for the education requirement if the candidate has a minimum of 5 years electrical/electronics, computerized/programmable controllers or other manufacturing technology applications in their previous employment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair a wide variety of process facility equipment, applying expertise in electronic, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance procedures on equipment and report findings regarding additional work and repairs to leadership.
  • Use electrical/electronic diagnostic equipment such as multi-meters, infrared scanning equipment, and other tools necessary for servicing applicable equipment.
  • Coordinate and/or perform assigned work, collaborating with contractors and other maintenance personnel to ensure proper repairs with minimal operational impact.
  • Maintain open communication with supervision and customer department personnel.
  • Document all activities and departmental procedural requirements within the Maintenance Management software.
  • Perform other duties as required.
