About The Position

To perform multi-skill diagnostic and repair services for manufacturing and delivery processes and equipment. This role requires an identified core trade skill along with expertise in an additional identified trade skill area necessary to make timely diagnosis and repairs. An electronic service competency is required to meet the requirements of this position. The technician will perform preventive maintenance procedures on a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical equipment and production systems. The ability to use electrical/electronic diagnostic equipment such as “multi-meters”, infrared scanning equipment and other tools necessary for servicing applicable equipment is essential. The role involves coordinating and/or performing assigned work, working with contractors and other maintenance personnel if necessary to ensure repairs are made properly and with minimum impact on operations. Maintaining open communications with supervision and customer department personnel, and documenting all activities with MMCS tools and departmental procedural requirements are key aspects of the job. The position also includes performing other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or bronze level WorkKeys certification plus formal technical training, preferably electrical/electronics, computerized/programmable controllers or other manufacturing technology applications.
  • Must be competent in the use of blueprint/schematic materials.
  • Three to five years documented experience in a maintenance skilled trade related to the intended assignment.
  • 2 years experience or apprenticeship in a designated additional applicable trade or skill set.
  • Competent in the use of electrical/electronic diagnostic equipment such as “multi-meters”, infrared scanning equipment and other tools necessary for servicing applicable equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Formal technical training, preferably electrical/electronics, computerized/programmable controllers or other manufacturing technology applications.
  • Demonstrated ability can be substituted for formal education requirement if specific documented experience of service work directly related to this field of service is provided.
