About The Position

The Facility Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day performance of building maintenance staff, and ensuring all work orders are completed efficiently, on time, and to company standards. This role provides hands-on leadership in managing maintenance activities across multiple properties, reallocating staff as needed to meet operational demand while maintaining coverage and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in facility management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility management, including staff and budget management.
  • Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and in emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure buildings are safe and compliant to city and company standard
  • Oversee daily work order assignments and completions, ensuring all tasks are closed out by end of day
  • Monitor workload across properties and reassign staff based on priorities and demand
  • Coordinate and supervise maintenance managers, technicians to ensure quality and timely work
  • Address staff related performance issues, including attendance, punctuality, overall performance, and attitude
  • Respond to building emergencies, coordinate internal response, and engage external contractors when necessary
  • Manage contractor relationships for maintenance and repair work, including negotiating pricing and verifying performance
  • Ensure cost control by reviewing quotes and verifying that spending aligns with company standards
  • Support the development and implementation of a preventative maintenance program to reduce reactive repairs
  • Ensure routine reoccurring inspections are conducted for safety and compliance by technician
  • Provide regular updates to leadership building conditions, staffing, and performance issues
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and consistent service standards across all buildings
  • Responsible for the care, maintenance, and inventory of all supplies and equipment
  • Ensure proper functionality of building systems, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, elevator, roofing systems
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and follow up with site staff on monthly property safety inspections
