About The Position

Senior Facility Services Technician, Plant Engineering. Part Time, 48 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift. Fort Loudoun Medical Center, part of Covenant Health, is an 87,000-square-foot hospital serving Loudon County and surrounding communities. Based in Lenoir City, TN, with more than 200 physicians across 29 specialties, the facility offers advanced technology including MRI, CT, ultrasound, diagnostic X-rays, women’s imaging, and nuclear medicine unique to the region. Featuring private patient rooms and comprehensive services such as emergency care, surgery, and specialized treatments, our dedicated team of physicians, staff, and volunteers is committed to providing excellent care to every patient, every time. Performs or directs general, routine, and highly technical maintenance, construction, and repair activities. Work includes responsibility for generalized knowledge in a broad area of crafts and skills in the specialty area with at least a journey level knowledge.

Requirements

• Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience performing maintenance, construction, or repair activities required.
• HVAC requires current EPA universal technician’s license.
• Must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license Class D and state mandated minimum insurance coverage.
• Driving record must meet Covenant Health minimum standards at the date of hire and throughout employment tenure.

Responsibilities

• Assures complete and proper logging of files, records and required cost computation of time spent, materials and supplies used for each completed requisition or work order.
• Organizes and maintains inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies. Recommends purchases for new equipment.
• Assists in the development and implementation of programs to maintain the physical plant, grounds and equipment of the facilities through effective use of personnel.
• Assigns individual tasks, requisitions supplies and equipment and oversees work of contractors. Trains and guides technicians in unfamiliar tasks.
• Performs maintenance, preventative maintenance, repairs, and installations. Takes lead in challenging group projects.
• Assists in all areas of specialty as needed.
• Local travel required.
• Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
