About The Position

Under direct supervision, the facility support performs janitorial duties in offices, warehouses, manufacturing areas, building interiors, and building exteriors at the facility. This role is responsible for the appropriate usage of cleaning equipment, performing janitorial duties, and routine maintenance on all facility interiors and exteriors. The position also manages recycling activities and assists in the disposal of hazardous waste, contributes to facility beautification, and performs typical maintenance tasks to support the production floor and the entire facility. Key duties include sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and restocking supplies, as well as detecting and reporting defective materials or questionable conditions. Safety compliance and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area are paramount. The role requires the ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and perform other general duties as required by management.

Requirements

Must have the ability to read and comprehend basic verbal and written instructions, and read and interpret drawings, blueprints, sketches, instructions, and specifications.
Must be willing to accept and receive frequent training, supervision, and assistance from positions and supervisory personnel.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working in various pieces of janitorial equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor strippers, buffer machines, and carpet/fabric shampooers.
Basic understanding of the usage of tools.

Previous experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment

Responsibilities

Responsible for the appropriate usage of cleaning equipment, performing janitorial duties, and routine maintenance on all facility interiors and exteriors contingent upon plant and facility location.
Manage recycling activities at the facility and assist in the disposal of hazardous waste.
Involved in facility beautification in terms of exterior aesthetics. (i.e. shrubs, greenery, planting, etc.)
Performs typical maintenance tasks to support the production floor and the entire facility.
Sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming and restocking cleaning supplies and bathrooms
Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to appropriate plant personnel including, the direct supervisor, or inspection or quality control personnel.
Safety Compliance – Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while performing job tasks. Report any safety hazards or concerns to the supervisor immediately.
Conforms with safety regulations per plant policies and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines. This includes but is not limited to, the use of safety glasses, ear plugs, masks, steel-toed boots/shoes, and associated safety equipment on the plant floor.
Cleanliness and organization – Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including storage spaces. Ensure tools and equipment are safely stored after each use.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Other general duties as required by the management staff.
