About The Position

This part-time position, working 24 hours per week over 3 days (2:30 pm to 11:00 pm), offers the opportunity to be the face of The Missouri Botanical Garden during your shift. You will interact with Garden employees, visitors, vendors, and donors while performing and maintaining the internal and external appearance of the Garden. Paid training will be provided to ensure you are ready and prepared to welcome visitors.

Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Be willing to learn new procedures
Present a professional attitude at all times under the scrutiny of the general public
Meet productivity standards
Ability to read instructions and to understand the label on cleaning products
Ability to multitask in a sometimes fast-paced environment
Ability to lift 30-60 pounds
Ability and willingness to work in varying temperatures and all-weather conditions
Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

Perform general daily housekeeping duties
Event Set-up duties require setting up tables, chairs
Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to visitors and employees at all times
Ensure that all recycled compost and landfill materials are placed in the correct containers
Reports all accidents, injuries, and near-miss accidents immediately to your supervisor
Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, washing surfaces, emptying trash, and other duties as assigned
