About The Position

The Facility Supervisor is responsible for leading all Facility/Utility Maintenance operations across a 24/7 ice cream manufacturing environment. This role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient performance while driving execution of the Ice Cream Manufacturing System (ICMS) and championing The Ice Cream Way cultural behaviors throughout the organization. Reporting to the Associate Director of Engineering, the Facility Supervisor will manage the Facilities maintenance group that oversees building operations. This role ensures compliance with all Safety, Health, Environmental, and GMP requirements and plays an integral part in strengthening the site's Safety, Quality, Output, and Cost performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Engineering or related field).
  • Maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing (24/7 environment strongly preferred).
  • Proven experience leading technical teams and driving results through structured systems such as ICMS, UMS, WCM, TPM, or Lean.
  • Deep knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, OSHA requirements, and manufacturing compliance.
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, facilities, and manufacturing systems.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead change, influence others, and build high‑performance, safety‑first cultures.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a culture leader, consistently role‑modeling The Ice Cream Way behaviors: Ownership, Teamwork, Pride in Quality, Safety Mindset, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Champion a proactive safety culture and lead full implementation of all site Safety, Health, and Environmental programs.
  • Actively participate in the Central Safety Health Environmental Committee (CSHEC), owning required programs and ensuring compliance with OSHA, GMP, and internal safety standards.
  • Embed ICMS (Ice Cream Manufacturing Systems) practices in daily work systems—ensuring strong governance, disciplined execution of standards, and operator engagement in sustaining improvements.
  • Build an inclusive, respectful environment where employees feel empowered to own results and stop the line when safety or quality is at risk.
  • Lead end‑to‑end Facility Maintenance operations for the Sikeston site, ensuring asset reliability, uptime, and adherence to ICMS Engineering & Maintenance standards.
  • Oversee all facility grounds maintenance activities across the site.
  • Oversee all building maintenance activities, including but not limited to the roof, interior structures, HVAC, water systems, fire protection systems, steam systems, waste water maintenance, security cameras, and electrical services.
  • Support the site’s digital transformation journey by advancing tools, systems, and ways of working that improve operational efficiency and maintenance effectiveness.
  • Oversee Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements for steam, electrical, and high‑hazard systems.
  • Participate as an Early Equipment Management (EEM) Pillar member, ensuring standards, schedules, centerlines, and asset strategies are executed with excellence.
  • Strengthen preventive maintenance and autonomous maintenance systems to improve mean time between failures (MTBF) and reduce unplanned downtime across facility operations.
  • Work collaboratively with Safety, Quality, and Production partners to drive reliability improvements, capability building, and disciplined problem-solving.
  • Manage Repair & Maintenance budgets, ensuring cost stewardship and reliability improvements.
  • Deliver year-over-year improvements in key factory KPIs, including: OEE, Waste / Giveaway, Labor productivity, Attainment, Business waste reduction.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of skilled maintenance technicians across a 24/7 operation.
  • Build an ICMS‑aligned work system that empower operators and technicians to solve problems closest to the source.
  • Strengthening technical capability through training, certification, and progression pathways aligned with the Ice Cream Manufacturing System.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and pride in craftsmanship.
  • Manage performance, develop talent pipelines, and drive new ways of working that elevate team effectiveness and engagement.
