About The Position

The Part-Time Facilities Service Team Member helps provide a clean, safe, welcoming, and well-prepared environment for church ministries, events, guests, and staff. Responsibilities include custodial cleaning, room setup and teardown, hospitality, basic facility monitoring, and security-related duties.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work cooperatively with staff and volunteers.
Positive attitude and a servant-hearted approach to work.
Ability to identify and address facility-related concerns proactively.
Supportive of the mission, values, and goals of Central Wesleyan Church.

Responsibilities

Clean classrooms, meeting rooms, offices, hallways, and common areas.
Collect, remove, and dispose of trash and recycling.
Clean and restock restrooms.
Clean kitchens and related service areas.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain various floor surfaces.
Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
Clear entrances and walkways of debris, snow, or other hazards.
Perform additional cleaning tasks as assigned.
Set up and tear down tables, chairs, and other equipment for events and ministry activities.
Prepare rooms according to event specifications.
Use Espace facilities management software to review setup requirements.
Assist with last-minute event needs and room adjustments.
Welcome ministry leaders, volunteers, and guests.
Ensure rooms are unlocked, properly arranged, and ready for use.
Respond professionally to requests and help resolve facility-related concerns.
Support a positive and hospitable environment throughout the campus.
Arm and disarm building security systems as required.
Monitor the facility for maintenance, safety, and security concerns.
Submit maintenance requests when needed.
Respond appropriately to issues that arise during assigned shifts.
