About The Position

The Facility Services Coordinator, working under the Director of the University Centre, is responsible for the planning and delivery of quality services within the University Centre Facility Services unit. This includes room reservation services, event setup and coordination, facility staff support, equipment rentals, front office support, and information services, all while ensuring client satisfaction. The coordinator will lead a team of student staff, full-time Logistics Handlers, and a part-time Facility Services Assistant, responsible for planning daily assignments, training staff, prioritizing duties, providing detailed instructions, scheduling, and client engagement. The role involves liaising with student groups and departmental/college entities to build strategic partnerships and support campus-wide initiatives. The coordinator will also collaborate with the Technical Support Assistant and technology advancement team to enhance technical services, support programs like static print washroom advertising, facility maintenance management, and the forthcoming Campus Information and Welcome Desk. Problem-solving common situations with professionalism and tact is key to achieving successful outcomes. Additionally, the coordinator will work with the Manager of Food & Beverage and Manager of Finance & Accounts to support the operational work of the food and beverage catering unit and financial management of client accounts. Collaboration with the Director will focus on enhancing the University Centre facility and operational services to better serve the university community.

Requirements

  • Two years graduation from college in accounting, business administration, facility operations, or related field.
  • Several years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Management experience in facility operations and/or customer service.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in effective planning, service delivery integration, people management, and project implementation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize.
