About The Position

The Facility Security Officer provides onsite leadership and administrative support for all security activities in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), contractual requirements, and other applicable federal security regulations. The FSO serves as the primary liaison with U.S. government security representatives, oversees personnel and facility security requirements, conducts security briefings and debriefings, and leads periodic self-inspections.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience in industrial security, clearance processing, document control, and physical security; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
3-5 of security management experience within the U.S. government, Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, or government contractor environment.
Significant hands-on experience using DCSA's Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and related personnel security systems.
Prior experience serving as a Facility Security Officer for a non-possessing facility.
A fully adjudicated Top-Secret clearance is preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage personnel security activities, including clearance processing, tracking, security education, reporting, briefings, debriefings, and related administrative requirements.
Use DISS, NISS, NBIS, and other security systems to process and maintain personnel clearance information and complete assigned security duties.
Process facility badges, visit authorization requests, certifications, and other access requirements for government facilities.
Prepare, issue, administer, and maintain DD Form 254 documentation and associated security requirements.
Support and conduct self-inspections, government inspections, audits, and corrective-action activities.
Maintain facility eligibility, and applicable certification and accreditation requirements, as well as personnel security eligibility records.
Develop, implement, and update security plans, policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Develop, maintain, and administer a comprehensive security education and training program.
Maintain effective working relationships with DCSA and other government agencies, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, contractual requirements, and federal security regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
