About The Position

Sellers & Associates is seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to join their team in Plant City, FL. This role is responsible for administering the industrial security program, including processing and maintaining clearances, submitting visit requests, handling badging, and ensuring all tasks associated with maintaining the Facility Clearance are completed on time. The company is a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) providing Programmatic and Engineering Support Services and Solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as Security Specialist, AFSO, or FSO at a company with a facility clearance granted by DCSA
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to get a Top-Secret clearance
  • Strong knowledge of security practices with emphasis on personnel, physical and/or industrial security
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills needed to coordinate with corporate functional staff and senior leadership team and external customers and agencies
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organization skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks at one time
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
  • Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize tasks
  • Detail oriented professional able to maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Able to work independently or in a team situation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products (Advanced Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to communicate, perform, and react well under pressure or ambiguity.
  • Self-starter, able to adapt to independently.
  • Ability to anticipate and respond to the needs of others before they arise, in addition to being able to react well to the needs of others once they do arise.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Liaison with Defense Security Service for the maintenance of Facility Security Clearance (FCL)
  • Service and monitor personnel security clearances for all S&A employees
  • Interface directly with Division/Program Managers to address security items specific to each program/contract
  • Adhere to and enforce all Facility Security Clearance regulations, including the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other government policies
  • Establish and maintain a Facility and Personnel Security Training Program for other Key Management Personnel (KMP) and all employees
  • Perform access control responsibilities including managing badges, access cards and visit requests
  • Performs other functions & duties as needed (such as, but not limited to recruiting, office management, program support, etc.)
  • Assist with processing employee paperwork related to security, training, and/or other requirements.
  • Formulates procedures for systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
