About The Position
We are currently seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Facility Sanitation Professionals to join our team in Wilson, NC. Operating within a large-scale tire manufacturing facility, you will play a critical role in maintaining the health, safety, and cleanliness of our essential employee areas. Working in tire manufacturing means operating in a heavy industrial environment with high foot traffic, industrial dust, and continuous operations. We rely on our sanitation team to ensure that the hardworking plant staff have clean, safe, and fully stocked restrooms and breakrooms to use during their shifts.
Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical cleaning tasks for the duration of a 12-hour shift.
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy trash bags and supplies (up to 50 lbs).
- Comfortable working in a large manufacturing plant environment (which can be dusty, loud, and busy).
- Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid ID.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean, sanitize, and maintain restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
- Ensure employee break areas are consistently clean and welcoming by wiping down tables, sweeping/mopping floors, and cleaning microwaves and countertops.
- Safely gather and empty trash receptacles from high-traffic areas as well as bathrooms and breakrooms and dispose of waste in designated compactors or bins.
- Consistently monitor and replenish essential facility supplies, including soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue across all assigned zones.
- Promptly address and mop up spills, wet floors, or debris to maintain a safe environment for all plant personnel.
